Stop using the storage when files matter
Do not install programs, do not copy new files to the drive, and do not run repair tools if the files are important. New writes can overwrite data, and unstable drives can get worse after repeated attempts.
Describe what must be recovered
Write which folders, photos, documents or accounts matter most, and what happened before the fault appeared. That helps us prioritize correctly if the storage can only be read partially.
