First hour after liquid damage
Turn the machine off, disconnect the charger and do not try to charge or start it again. Do not use a hair dryer or heat. Note what was spilled, how much, where it hit and whether the machine was on when it happened.
Prioritize files before cosmetics
With liquid damage, we first assess whether the machine can be made safe enough to recover important files. Corrosion can develop over time, so quick clarification is better than waiting until symptoms become clearer.
