HP product number matters
HP often uses product number, serial number and model name together. The product number makes it easier to separate similar Pavilion, Envy, Spectre, EliteBook, ProBook and Omen variants with different screens, batteries and keyboards.
Differences between HP series
Pavilion and Envy are often consumer models, Spectre is thinner and more integrated, EliteBook and ProBook are business models, while Omen often needs extra assessment of heat, fans, power and graphics performance.
